Housing & Financial Relief
Room at the Inn Relief™ helps keep families housed, and the Financial Relief & Extended Credit program converts crushing debt into affordable, zero-interest terms. Both are funded by a tax-exempt pool of charitable donations and sponsors.
Room at the Inn Relief™
Launched in December 2021, Room at the Inn Relief™ provides bridge loans and refinancing designed to prevent foreclosures and evictions. The goal is simple: families stay in their homes while they get back on their feet.
Related member programs include affordable housing capacity, rapid-deployable housing for emergency and disaster-displaced residents, and support for unhoused and at-risk populations.
Zero-interest, affordable terms.
As a newly qualified fiscal sponsor, the Foundation can accept tax-deductible contributions and direct them to individuals and families in need. Eligible purposes include affordable living, food, housing, healthcare, well-being, utilities, small businesses, and essential equipment and repairs.
Loans are interest-free, with amounts and repayment terms adjusted so payments stay affordable over time.
From application to relief.
Eligibility runs through local Mandate Membership Organizations™. For current application forms and terms, contact the Foundation at 703-277-7777. Terms are set per applicant and documented in writing before any agreement.
Fund the pool, or bring it to your community.
The relief pool grows through tax-deductible contributions. Citizenship centers bring the programs local.
