Democracy Citizenship Centers are designed to be self-supporting, and that starts with infrastructure. The Foundation's project experience covers off-grid power, water, and waste systems: open- and closed-loop geothermal HVAC, solar photovoltaic and solar thermal arrays, rainwater cisterns, potable water filtration with infrared purification, and bio-remediation wastewater treatment.
Modular, pre-cast construction (including multi-box, three-story drop-in facilities) lets a community stand up housing, schools, or clinics quickly, with the utilities built in.
